Elevated Work Platform course
Course Overview:
The TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) course is designed to train participants in the safe and competent operation of a boom-type elevating work platform, commonly known as a cherry picker or aerial lift. Boom-type EWPs are used in various industries for tasks that require working at elevated heights, such as maintenance, construction, and utilities.
Course Content:
Upon completing the course, participants will be able to:
· Understand EWP Operations
· Pre-operational Checks
· Safe Operation of the EWP
· Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
· Load Handling and Positioning
· Communication and Signals
· Shut Down and Securing
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with an Australian Advanced Academy statement of attainment (certificate) for the following units:
Course Duration: 2 Days in class Face to Face
Course Requirements: Person must be over the age of 18, have the ability to read, write and understand English, have a basic knowledge of mathematics to work out formulas. Be able to provide 2 forms of identification including one with a photo. Being physically fit enough and be able to work with lifting equipment such as chains, slings and ropes and not have any conditions that would preclude you from holding a high risk licence.
